2025 AWF Theological Award
The Alliance World Fellowship (AWF) is pleased to announce the next offering of the theological research prize, the AWF THEOLOGY AWARD.
This award is administered by the International Commission of Theological Education (ICTE) and rewards an original research paper devoted to addressing a contemporary challenge facing the ministry of the Alliance. The challenge discussed may be theological, missiological, or sociological and have either a local and/or global context. Authors should also consider how the Alliance, locally, nationally and/or globally could address the identified challenge(s) by drawing on its rich heritage.
The results of this original research will be presented in the form of an academic article of five thousand (5,000) words maximum (excluding footnotes). The article can be written in the language of the author’s choice.
The two best articles as judged by the ICTE will be awarded a scholarship trip to the 50th Anniversary AWF quadrennial meeting in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (7-12 October). Airfare, accommodation, and Conference registration included. Excludes personal expenses and visa application.
All submitted articles will be considered for publication on the AWF Repository.
Applications are open to any individual connected to the Alliance. A brief description of that connection is required with the submission.
The closing date for submissions is March 31, 2025. Winners of the prize will be announced and notified by April 30, 2025.
All questions about the AWF Theology Award and completed paper submissions can be directed to Rev Dr Peter Laughlin, (plaughlin@acom.edu.au).
