After 11 years of energetic and effective service to the Chinese pastors, elders, and churches of the Canadian Pacific District, Kar Park Chan has announced his retirement from his role as Assistant District Superintendent for Chinese Ministries, effective November 30, 2020.
Kar Park (aka PC, for Pastor Chan) is widely known for his quick wit, his pastoral giftings of exhortation and teaching, and his love for assisting pastors and elders in resolving challenges and moving forward in ministry.
An avid golfer and enthusiastic and involved grandfather, PC looks forward to continuing to serve the Chinese churches in our district on a volunteer basis.
District Superintendent Errol Rempel comments: “I am grateful beyond words for PC’s contribution to the health and joy of our district team and churches. He has loved us all so faithfully and served his Lord and our churches well. We bless him and Seok Leng as he transitions out of this role and they both take new opportunities to enjoy and serve their family, friends and others.”
Kar Park himself says: “It has been a great joy and privilege to serve our Chinese pastors and churches in the CPD over the past years. I look back over these years with a deep sense of gratitude for having had the honor of working alongside so many of you in this capacity. I look forward to all that God has in store for this next season of life and serving in new ways.”
A new Assistant District Superintendent for Chinese Ministries will be announced in December.
