District Conference is a biennial meeting for licensed workers and church delegates in the Pacific District. The Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Pacific District of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada (C&MA) will also be held during District Conference. Two special resolutions are coming to the meeting for a vote, and they are included here for your preparation.
During the business session, a conversation will be held on key decisions made at General Assembly 2018 regarding the Statement on Human Sexuality and the amendment to the Local Church Constitution regarding baptism and membership.
Dave Hearn, President of the C&MA, will be speaking at the evening public service on May 14th.
This year, two Equip sessions are being held in conjunction with District Conference and both are open to the public.

Michelle DerksenMichelle Derksen, along with her husband Murray, have been international workers with the C&MA for 27 years. They have lived and served in various countries and continents and presently have the privilege to serve as the Regional Developers for Latin America and the Caribbean (Caribbean Sun) Region. They have 4 adult children. She has seen how often conflict can derail ministry and relationships. That propelled her to do more training, and Michelle graduated from the Justice Institute of BC in December 2017 with her Certification in Conflict Resolution and Third Party Mediation, Associate Certificate in Conflict Coaching, and Associate Certificate in Leadership and Conflict Resolution. She is so thankful for this training and is passionate about helping others learn skills so that they can navigate through conflict and have healthy and productive conversations that benefit each person involved.
