Update from the National Ministry Centre – March 20, 2020
General Assembly 2020 has been highly anticipated, but everyone is wondering whether it will actually happen. The C&MA Board of Directors has determined that rather than gathering together June 16-19, how we do Assembly will be re-imagined. Inspirational and informational components will be preserved and presented to the entire C&MA family when a degree of normality returns and as resources are available. Ways and means will be found to conduct necessary business, including elections for president and the board of directors.
Details about how these dreams will be realized will be made known in the days and weeks to come. Though we will miss being with each other, right now our priority calling is to serve Jesus by serving the people in our churches and our communities, and we will stand by our pastors and churches until the storm passes!
What is General Assembly?
Our biennial General Assembly is always an exciting time for The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. At this special event, nearly 1,000 of our Alliance family of church delegates, domestic and international official workers, the Board of Directors, and other ministry leaders come together for a week of reconnecting, worship, hearing from God’s Word, prayer and discernment, and healthy discussion and decision-making on key business items.
