Welcoming Refugees
In 2019, 3780 individuals arrived in BC to make a refugee claim. Despite the border closure, an additional 2000 individuals claimed for refugee status in 2020. So the need is still great and borders will likely reopen sometime in 2021. In anticipation of this day, Journey Home want to be ready to receive families and welcome them to Canada and they are hoping the local church will help them!
You are invited to an information meeting for communities of welcome on Thursday, Feb 25 from 7-8 p.m.
