Board Leadership Training Opportunity
As a District Office, our desire is to serve our church leaders in the most effective and practical ways possible. One of the ways we do this is by holding training events for pastors and boards. I spend considerable time traveling to various churches in our district or Zoom into board meetings to provide board leadership training. I have learned that we learn best from each other. Many times, one board’s challenge has been dealt with by another and vice versa. Having the opportunity to learn in community increases our capacity to develop as leaders.
With this in mind, we would like to invite you to attend an elder training day on November 25th. This training is for current, former, and future board members. It is also for Lead Pastors, Executive Pastors, and any other team members that you feel would benefit from a deeper understanding of how board governance functions in The Alliance Canada. We’d love to see you attend for this valuable training led by Steve Schneider, Gerry Teichrob, and Dwayne Toews.

Board Leadership
It’s crucial that elders in Alliance churches have a clear understanding of what it means to provide effective and godly oversight of a local church. This module covers shepherding and governance best practices, the responsibilities of elders, and instruction on the respective roles of the Board, the Lead Pastor, and other pastoral staff.
